Biography

Anna Orhanen is a London-based writer, editor and photographer with a background in academia.


Anna completed her PhD on self-understanding and reading in Proust's A la recherche du temps perdu at King’s College London in 2013. The project was supervised by Dr Johanna Malt and Professor Patrick ffrench and funded by Finnish Oskar Huttunen Foundation. After completing her doctorate, Anna taught Literature and Critical Theory at Royal Holloway, University of London, and returned to KCL as a Visiting Postdoc Fellow in 2015-2016. Anna's recent freelance projects include nonfiction editing, proof-editing, journalism, copywriting and content development, as well as proofreading and translation. In the past few years she has also worked as a Writer and Deputy Editor at Londnr Magazine and as a Foreign Language Specialist at Thomson-Reuters.
