I obtained my PhD from King's College London in 2013. My doctoral work explored reading and self-understanding in Marcel Proust's A la recherche du temps perdu, with a special emphasis on the Narrator's suggestion that reading literature may enable the readers to become 'the readers of their own selves'. After my PhD, I worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Royal Holloway, University of London, teaching Proust and Critical Theory. In 2015, I returned to King's as a Visiting Research Fellow. In my postdoctoral research, I explore Proust and Gadamer and the imagery of breathing in European modernist literature. Read more
